Welcome to Geom Compass ("we," "us," "our," or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

WE DO NOT COLLECT, STORE, OR TRANSMIT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. This includes:

Your name, email address, or phone number
Your location history or tracking data
Contact lists or address book information
Photos, videos, or media files
Any personally identifiable information (PII)

3. Information Used Locally

3.1 Location Information

The App accesses your device's GPS functionality solely for:

Calculating magnetic declination based on geographic location
Displaying your position on maps
Providing location-based compass functionality

            Important: Location data is processed entirely on your device and is not stored, transmitted, or retained after the App is closed.
        

3.2 Device Sensors

The App uses your device's sensors (magnetometer, GPS, accelerometer) in real-time. All sensor data is processed locally and is never stored or transmitted.

3.3 User Preferences

The following preferences are stored locally on your device:

True North/Magnetic North display preference
Display settings and UI preferences

These are removed when you delete the App.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 OpenStreetMap

The App displays map data from OpenStreetMap (OSM). When using map features:

Map tile requests are sent directly to OSM servers
Your IP address may be logged by OSM per their privacy policy

4.2 No Other Third-Party Services

The App does not use:

Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics
Facebook SDK or social media trackers
Advertising networks
External crash reporting services

6. Your Rights

Location Permissions: You may disable location access in device settings
Data Deletion: Delete the App to remove all locally stored data

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We comply with:

GDPR: No PII collected; data processed only on device
CCPA: No personal information sold or shared
